Avesh J. Krishna is a sophomore at Rice University studying Political Science and Policy Studies.He currently works as a research assistant for the Baker Institute for Public Policy’s McNair Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
==Early Life==
Avesh was born in Westchester County, New York to parents Dr. Arvind and Mrs. Sonia Krishna. Since 2005, the Krishna family has lived in Ridgefield, Connecticut. He has a younger sister, Tarini Krishna, who currently attends Ridgefield High School.
==Education==
Avesh graduated from Ridgefield High School in Ridgefield, Connecticut in June 2015. In August 2015, Avesh began his undergraduate education at Rice University in Houston, Texas where he currently is a sophomore Political Science & Policy Studies major and pursuing a minor in statistics. He is a member of Brown College at Rice.
==Work Experience==
This past summer, Avesh worked as a research intern at IBM Research in Yorktown Heights, New York. He worked with the Deep Learning group to develop visualization techniques for training processes. Avesh has also worked with the Local Elections for America Project as a research assistant collecting and analyzing local governments across the nation. The prior summer, Avesh worked as an intellectual property analyst at Intellectual Profit LLC where he gained experience with the legal and commercial aspects of innovation.
==Other Activities==
Avesh is involved at Brown College as a committee chair and an academic fellow. He additional DJ’s for Rice’s radio station KTRU.
