==Early Life==
Dylan Carlin was born in Ann Arbor Michigan Tyler, Texas to parents Michelle McCormick Drs. Tom and Gerald DickensDebbie Cherry. After Gerald received his PhD She has two younger siblings, Joseph (17) and Krista (15). She attended All Saints Episcopal School from K-10. When she was 16 years old, her mother became the Occupational Medicine Residency Director of the University of MichiganWashington, the Dickens and her family moved to Townsville, Australia while Dylan was still only 6 months oldSeattle. There he lived for 5 years as his father taught Earth Science Carlin finished high school at James Cook University. While he was there he befriended three kangaroos and a wallaby. His younger brother and sister were both born during this time. Dylan then moved to Washington D.C. in the 2001Preparatory Academy, perhaps sparking his eventual interest graduating in PoliticsJune 2015. After only a year in D.C., the Dickens family moved again She matriculated to Friendswood, Texas, a small suburb south of Houston. There his father found work at Rice University, during the school destined to provide an undergraduate education to Dylan. After a 5 year tenure as Masters at Martel College and a single year abroad in Stockholm, Sweden, Dylan returned to Friendswood to finish out High School and eventually went to Ricefall of 2015.
==Education==
Dylan Carlin is a rising junior-year student sophomore majoring in Comparative Political Science Economics, Philosophy, and Managerial Studies and Archaeology minoring in Business at Rice University. He She resides at the residential college of Martel and is also pursuing a major in International Policy Studies and a minor in Energy, Water and Environmental SustainabilityMcMurtry.
==Organizational Involvement==
Dylan Carlin is the Executive Vice President Head of Outreach of the Baker Institute Student Forum . She also serves as well as the Service Parliamentarian and Head of Elections Committee Chair and a Junior Class Representative within the Martel Collegiate GovernmentMcMurtry College government. Dylan Carlin is involved a Senior Fellow in the Gateway Study of Leadership, a variety student-led fellowship whose goal is to conduct an interview-based research project that looks for leadership themes and lessons as offered by faculty members of advising roles on campus and holds positions including:*Rice Health Advisor (RHA)*University. She is the Learn To Swim supervisor at the Rice Orientation Week Advisor *Peer Career Advisor *Peer Academic Advisor *Academic Fellow and MentorDylan is University Recreation Center. She also an ICF accredited Peer Professional Coach whom is employed by volunteers with the Doerr Institute for New Leaders Nehemiah Center and a Rice CheerleaderOneLife Tutoring Program.
==Work Experience==
Dylan has Carlin worked as a Powderpuff Referee swim instructor for Rice University, an intern for the International Peruvian NGO Proyecto Amazonas several years in high school and college. She interned with Matisia Consulting Firm and as a research assistant Families of Color Seattle. She has worked for the Houston Parks and Recreation Department. Dylan also founded his own Personal Development Firm, ''Dickens PDF'' McNair Center since its early conception in the summer of 2016Fall 2015.
