If SDC won't shut down or reopens immediately if you restart RDP, go to Task Manager and force quit it. If this still does not work, you will need administration privileges to shut down SDC. Ask someone with this power, and your problem should be fixed.
On my last big usage, SDC reported an access violation at the end of pretty much every pull. This doesn't affect the output. Just say ok, close SDC and open it again. It doesn't seem to affect the next run.
