Background
Lauren was born in Boston, MA and was raised in Manchester-by-the-Sea (yes, the town from the 2016 Oscar winning film). She does not know any of the Afflecks, but sure wishes she did. Lauren attended Brooks School where she received her High School diploma and then proceeded to Boston University where she earned a BA in Economics. Shortly after graduation, Lauren moved to New York City where she started a lucrative career as a private jeweler at M. Fabrikant and Sons and specialized in diamonds over 10 carats. In 2003 she moved to Hong Kong where she continued to work for Fabrikant until the company closed its doors in 2004. Eager to stay in Hong Kong, Lauren received her Masters Degree at CUHK, worked for about a year as a business reporter at the South China Morning Post (Greater China's largest English daily), and subsequently started a business with two partners in the fashion and consumer goods industry. She returned to the States at the end of 2013 and moved to Houston, TX in 2015. Nowadays Lauren enjoys spending time with her life partner, Ed, and her canine child, Noodles. She is currently learning how to properly media Wiki, and hopes to master it very soon.
