Felena Hanson, founder of Hera Fund, a female angel investor group, said that groups like hers are "looking to not only inspire and encourage female investors, but to grow and support other female entrepreneurs through both funding and strategic educational workshops." Among employer firms, women-owned businesses are only about 16 percent of the total, and their share of revenues and employees are in the single digits. Moreover, among high-growth firms, women usually account for less than 10 percent of founders in any given sample.
