Yunnie was born in Guangzhou, China, in 1998. Guangzhou is the third biggest city in China. Yunnie has an older sister and she was born "illegally" during a time when China's "One-child policy" was enforced. Her favorite childhood memory is spending Lunar New Year in her grandparents' house and setting off fireworks with her cousins. In 2008, She moved to Chicago with her family. She received her high school degree from Whitney M. Young Magnet High School. She loves everything about the city, except for the cold winters.
