So you’re a woman starting her own business - congrats! Starting a new business is a challenging task but an accomplishable one with the right skillset and guidance. Luckily, there are many resources in Houston specifically targeted toward women in business. These resources vary in scope but all will help you connect you with others who can offer a sense of direction and a strong support network. Networking resources will get you in contact with other successful women so that you can learn from their success and also from their challenges. They can also act as mentors and connect you to other people who can help your business thrive. Other resources offer access to fireside chats and luncheons which allow you to pick up on helpful discussions and talks and bring those strategies back to your own business. Seek out influential mentors and skills and know you’re not going at it alone.
