YCombinator is a Silicon Valley-based, for-profit incubator institution founded in 2005. It advertises a wide array of services, including access to mentors, funding, office space, and start-up services. YCombinator has eight directors, seven of whom have direct entrepreneurship experience as established entrepreneurs and an eight who has indirect experience in the sector.
