A Minority Business Enterprise Certificate increases business visibility, credibility, and provides valuable professional and business mentoring. The Houston Minority Supplier Development Council provides Pre-Certification Workshops the first Thursday of every month to assist in the application and it is strongly recommended to attend.

Cost
Certification costs range from $350-$1,200 depending on the region.
Criteria
In order to apply and receive MBE Certification, 51% of the business or the company's stock must be owned by minority group individuals (Asian-Indian American, Asian-Pacific American, African American, Hispanic American, or Native American).
