Template:SBDE Template The Hispanic Women's Network of Texas (HWNT) is a state-wide organization of individuals from diverse backgrounds who are committed to promoting the participation of women in public, corporate and civic arenas. HWNT seeks to advance the educational, cultural, social, legal and economic well-being of all women through a broader awareness of their role in society, business and family.

Education

The Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas (HWNT) developed an Education and a Scholarship Program to assist Latinas attain higher education. HWNT provides Education Programs through the Chapters for Latina high school students. These Latinas will be provided scholarship opportunities and there are no fees associated with this program.

Requirements for Chapter Education Programs for all Latinas are to include the following components:
-College Preparation
-Hispanic History, Leadership, Culture, Politics, and Civism
-Writing Skills
-Assertiveness Training
-Life Skills (Health Awareness & Self-Improvement)

Membership

Regular Membership- $50

Student Membership- $25

UT-Austin Student Chapter- $30

Senior Rate Membership (over 65 yrs)- $35
