The Office of Business Opportunity developed a certification for traditionally underserved and/or disadvantaged members of the Houston Business community. The purpose of this certification is to promote the growth and success of local small businesses by ensuring they have equal access to participation in the government procurement process.

Application

There is no fee for submitting an application for the certification. Weekly pre-certification informational workshops are offered on Thursdays at 2 pm, on the 7th floor of 611 Walker St, Houston, TX 77002. The application can be found here.
